Special Instructions:
Join us as we learn all about Timberdoodles, also known as the American Woodcock. We will meet at the steps of the visitor center at 6:30pm and spend some time talking about the courtship rituals of these secretive birds. Then we spend some time walking the trails looking for spring migrants and some year-round residents. After exploring the arboretum, we will venture into Curtis Prairie where we will watch the courtship display of the American Woodcock. We will be traveling approximately 1-1.5 miles through a variety of habitats on mostly mowed/gravel trails. This is a family friendly event. There is a porta-potty in the parking lot. We will have binoculars for those who need them.
