Jennifers Yard

Jennifer Lazewski's very bird-friendly yard!

WSO's Executive Director and Master Gardener, Jennifer Lazewski, will be leading two seminars of great interest to bird-lovers.  On Saturday the 10th, at 1:15, she'll present "Pollinator Gardening to Bird Habitat."  In just a few easy steps, Jennifer will explain how to choose and plant shrubs and trees that bear fruit and attract insects that birds love and need for their survival – adding colorful and interesting birds to your yard.

Then on Sunday at 2:15, Jennifer will present "Gardening for Birds."  In this session, she'll focus on adding adding trees, shrubs and native plants that feed and shelter birds during migration. Learn how to provide birds with a productive rest stop during migration AND provide great habitat for feeding baby birds.

WSO will also have a booth to provide information and materials on gardening for birds, alongside booths from SOS Save Our Songbirds, Lake Michigan Bird Observatory, Bluebird Restoration Association of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Purple Martin Association and the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin.
